The digital archives of Eclética Química are preserved on a server located at São Paulo State University-UNESP but managed by the DTI of the Institute of Chemistry. The Server is in the data center infrastructure of the Institution and is operated and maintained by its IT team, and the backup is done daily. Additionally, the journal's staff performs a weekly backup of the digital archives to an external hard disk. The digital archives of Eclética Química are also preserved in Redalyc, BIBLAT and DOAJ.

Digital Preservation Policy
Eclética Química, through UNESP, is part of the Cariniana Network of Ibict, which offers digital preservation services to various Brazilian institutions. Cariniana's services focus on digital archiving, based on the LOCKSS Program model, developed by Stanford University Libraries.

The principles governing digital preservation refer to:
Authenticity: scientific documents are preserved and protected from intentional or accidental alterations, corruption, or loss.
Integrity: actions and activities performed on scientific documents in the editorial workflow are recorded in their respective metadata.
Reliability: the preservation policy, processes, and procedures, and their updates, follow the standards and best practices of the Cariniana Network.
Usability: preserved scientific documents are locatable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable according to standards and best practices.
Open access: the preserved scientific documents are open access under the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC 4.0 license.
Workflow: preservation is part of the journal's editorial workflow and applies to different stages of the process.
