Resumo
A etnoquímica, que integra a cultura local ao ensino da química, melhora a compreensão dos alunos ao relacionar as aulas com a vida cotidiana. Este estudo utiliza análise bibliométrica para identificar tópicos predominantes na pesquisa em etnoquímica no âmbito do ensino da química, de fevereiro de 2018 a janeiro de 2023. Utilizando o software Publish or Perish (PoP), o Google Scholar e o aplicativo VOSviewer, foram analisados 31 artigos científicos para revelar os principais temas e tendências. Os resultados indicam uma forte associação da etnoquímica com termos como “diretrizes”, “desenvolvimento”, “implementação”, “sabedoria local”, “habilidade alcançada” e “processo de aprendizagem”. A etnoquímica tem demonstrado um potencial significativo para tornar o aprendizado da química mais envolvente e relevante, ligando conceitos abstratos a contextos culturais e cotidianos. No entanto, a integração da etnoquímica nos currículos ainda é limitada, e as aplicações práticas na educação moderna continuam pouco exploradas. Este estudo destaca a importância de desenvolver estratégias para incorporar a etnoquímica no ensino e na pesquisa, promovendo o pensamento crítico, a alfabetização científica e a apreciação cultural entre os alunos. Os resultados oferecem uma estrutura para estudos futuros, incentivando abordagens inovadoras que unam o ensino de ciências ao patrimônio cultural para criar experiências de aprendizagem mais significativas.
